June is a successful businesswoman with big ambitions for the future. She saves money for a down payment on her dream home, goes to the gym, and eats healthily as an investment in her future.
She was diagnosed with a deadly disease one dreary January, with six months to live.
Suddenly, she begins to reconsider her whole life plan; she has always been so concentrated on a future that isn’t certain and has now been ripped away from her.
She breaks up with her long-term boyfriend, Dean, and rekindles an old school buddy. Jena and June finish June’s bucket list, pushing her to live in the present moment for the first time in her life.
6 Months of June is a film by Lucy Brown, born in Crawley, Sussex, but spent her childhood in Cambridgeshire.
She attended King’s College Prep School in Cambridge before moving to Oundle School in Northamptonshire, where she stayed until she entered Hills Road Sixth Form College in Cambridge.
She later graduated from the Guildhall School of Music and Drama in London. A jury of
104 actors named her “Most Beautiful English Actress of the Year” in December 2007.
