The Amazing Race is an adventure-filled reality TV show in which teams of two race around the world against other teams.
The race is divided into teams tasked with deducing clues, navigating foreign regions, interacting with people, and completing physical and mental tasks that frequently showcase aspects of a location’s culture, history, or economy.
Teams travel by airplanes, helicopters, trucks, bicycles, cars, trains, buses, boats, and foot during the race.
After each challenge, teams are removed progressively for being the last to arrive at predetermined pit stops until only three teams remain.
The grand prize is granted to the first team to cross the finish line.
The Amazing Race Season 1 Winners: Rob Frisbee & Brennan Swain
Year: 2001

Rob Frisbee & Brennan Swain were the winners of the first season. After all these years, the first winners remain best friends.
While Brennan works at a law firm in Los Angeles, Rob is an attorney who also writes for T.V. and movies.
Brennan was the best man at Rob’s wedding in 2017 and is Max’s godfather.

After winning the second season of the series, Chris lived in Florida with his wife, whom he married in 2004.
In 2019, Alex married Katie Erlandson.
Since 2020, he has worked as an Emmy-nominated television producer and has hosted Amazon’s The College Tour.

Flo dated fellow contestant Drew Riker for seven years after the race until parting in 2009.
She later dated T.V. anchor Dan Abrams, with whom she had a son in 2012.
She is MacAndrews & Forbes’ vice president of public relations.
Zach married documentary filmmaker Elyse Steinberg in 2008, and the couple welcomed their first child in 2012.
The Emmy winner is currently The History Channel’s vice president.

Year: 2003

The couple, who made history by becoming the first gay couple to win The Amazing Race, broke up six months after the show ended in 2002.
Reichen dated Lance Bass briefly in 2006, but the couple split the following year.
In 2013, Reichen attended law school and founded his own company, LeaseLock.
Chip, for his part, was very engaged in the LGBT community after his victory, becoming the state of Florida’s first out gay male to cast an electoral vote.
Since 2013, he has served as the EVP of Flimp Communications.

The couple, who became engaged while competing in 2004, married in 2005 and went on to have two children.
