America’s Got Talent (AGT) Season 17 – How to Apply, Casting & Audition Details, & Release Date

America’s Got Talent, widely known as AGT, is an American version of Simon Cowell’s worldwide Got Talent television series.

Fremantle USA and Syco Entertainment created the program, syndicated by the latter and shown on the NBC network.

The first season premiered on June 21, 2006, after plans for a British edition in 2005 were disrupted due to a disagreement within the British broadcaster ITV; production would resume in 2007, following the first season’s success.

Each season is broadcast chiefly during the network’s summer schedule.

The program has featured a variety of hosts over its existence; the current season (16th season) is Terry Crews.

America’s Got Talent (AGT) Season 17 Release Date

From June 1 to September 15, 2021, NBC broadcasted the sixteenth season of the American talent show competition series America’s Got Talent.

Even though the COVID-19 epidemic influenced production, producers could include live audiences in audition sessions and live round stages of the competition.

After Simon Cowell returned to the show after an accident the previous year, he replaced the Judges Cuts round with a new deliberation format similar to Britain’s Got Talent.

Due to this year’s Olympics schedule, owing to the postponement of the 2020 Summer Olympics because of COVID-19, there will be a hiatus in the broadcast between July 20 and August 10 this year.

There is no official release date for America’s Got Talent Season 17.

But, each season is aired chiefly during the network’s summer schedule; we can assume that the next season will be aired in the summer of 2022.

The program has featured a variety of hosts over its existence; the host for the current season (16th season) is Terry Crews, who will reprise his role in Season 17.

America’s Got Talent (AGT) Season 17 Casting

America’s Got Talent attracts a wide variety of performers from across the United States and internationally who have some skill, with acts ranging from singing, dancing, comedy, magic, stunts, type, and several other genres.

Each contestant tries to secure a spot in the season’s live episodes by impressing a panel of judges, including Cowell, Howie Mandel, Heidi Klum, and Sofia Vergara.

Contestants who advance to the live episodes battle for the judges and public’s votes to advance to the live final.

The winner earns a big monetary reward, paid overtime, and, from the third season, the opportunity to headline performance on the Las Vegas Strip.

The sixteenth season saw the first group Golden Buzzer in the show’s history and the creation of a “Wildcard” special, which aired via online streaming service Peacock on August 10, 2021, following the withdrawal of a Golden Buzzer participant.

The sixteenth season was won by magician Dustin Tavella, with aerialist Aidan Bryant coming in second and stand-up comedian Josh Blue coming in third.
