One of the highest rated T-20 leagues for the woman in the world today is the Woman’s Big Bash League. Before the start of this league, there was the Australian Woman’s Twenty20 Cup. It got replaced by the tournament. The names of the teams are identical to names in the men’s Big Bash League tournament. They are- Adelaide Strikers, Brisbane Heat, Hobart Hurricanes, Melbourne Renegades, Melbourne Stars, Perth Scorchers, Sydney Sixers, and Sydney Thunder. The league started from 2015 and the 4th season of the league is going on now. Till now the most successful team is the Sydney Sixers, winning the competition twice. Women’s Big Bash League Season 1 (2015-16) Winner: Sydney Thunder

Sydney Thunder won the match defeating Sydney Sixers. Batting first, Sydney Sixers scored 115 for the loss of 5 wickets. Sydney Thunder chased the score with 3 balls to spare. Rachel Haynes played a calm and composed innings of 37. Erin Osborne from the losing team was adjudged player of the match for her brilliant bowling performance.

Women’s Big Bash League Season 2 (2016-17) Winner: Sydney Sixers

Sydney Sixers started their winning momentum from this year. They played against the Perth Scorchers. The Scorchers scored 117/7 batting first, easily chased by the Sixers. Alyssa Healy scored 40 off just 27 balls for Sixers. Sarah Aley was adjudged player of the match for her 4 wickets.

Women’s Big Bash League Season 3 (2017-18) Winner: Sydney Sixers

This time again the Perth Scorchers and the Sydney Sixers met in the final and the result was same too. Batting first, the Scorchers were all out for 99 runs. The Sixers scored the runs in just 15 over with 9 wickets in hand. Alyssa Healy was the highest scorer again scoring 41 off just 32 balls but Sarah Coyte was the player of the match for taking 4 wickets giving just 17 runs in her 3 overs.

Big Bash League Season 4 (2018-19) Winner: Brisbane Heat

This time again the Brisbase Heat and the Sydney Sixers met in the final and the result was same too. Batting first, the Scorchers were 137-7 runs. The Heat scored the runs in final over with 3 wickets in hand. Beth Mooney was the highest scorer again scoring 65 off just 46 balls.

Big Bash League Season 5 (2019-20) Winner: Brisbane Heat

Brisbane Heat started their winning momentum from this year. They played against the Adelaide Strikers. The Strikers scored 161/7 batting first, easily chased by the Brisbane Heat. Beth Mooney scored 56 off just 46 balls for Heat.

Big Bash League Season 6 (2020) Winner: Sydney Thunder

Sydney Thunder won the match defeating Melbourne Stars. Batting first, Sydney Stars scored 86 for the loss of 9 wickets. Sydney Thunder chased the score with 7 wickets and 6 overs to spare. Rachel Haynes and Heather Knight played a calm and composed innings of 26 or 21. Clean strike down the ground as Thunder clinch their second WBBL title in style

Big Bash League Season 7 (2021) Winner: Who will be winner?

The 6th season is going on now and all the teams are fighting very hard to get the top spot so it’s very tough to predict a winner now. The winner of previous seasons, Sydney Thunder are standing at the top. The final will held on the 28th of November 2020. We will update the name of the winner after the final.
